About Denis

I moved to Suffolk 7 years ago and you can read about me below. If you or a friend would like a counselling session or assessment on Skype or Whatsapp – please contact me.

I work as a Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapist within the guidelines of  the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, with integrity, regular personal development and supervision.  I was also a senior counsellor at ChildLine in London where I ran my own Private Practice before transferring online   I am also helping parents of teenagers with mental health issues in Suffolk whilst studying CBT and Brief Solution Focussed Therapy.

I trained originally in couples counselling, completing over 500 hours with Relate, including working in a Crisis Counselling Clinics in a deprived area.   Generally, I have hundreds of hours working with clients behind me, working with young professionals, individuals and couples on a wide variety of problems including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and stress. I am also an experienced consultant in the Arts and Humanities and have worked with many Boards and high level individuals, often in a coaching role.

I worked with my PAT dog (Pet As Therapy) called Monty in hospices and centres for troubled adolescents until he died. Since then I have written a book called What To Do When Your Pet Dies which sells on Amazon around the world.    I lost my 14 year old greyhound earlier this yea and help with life after racing and  I offer owners with tips and hints on how to deal with difficult dogs – or is it difficult owners?

My lovely Lurcher Ghost RIP

I work  OnLine via Skype (fiennesd)  Whatsapp and email  so that I can interact more readily with people all over the world.

I was featured on the BBC’s Mollie Green programme on Animals and On the Sofa with Radio Suffolk.

Testimonials – What Anna, Sally and Jo had to say:

“I had a lot of guilt over the death of my pet.  Thank you for your help and support – you have helped me so much, in ways I could not have imagined which will stay with me for life.”    Sally

“I knew you were there every step of the way. You were always available every day with words of wisdom and comfort in your book, and this made a huge difference to coping with the loss of my cat”.   Jo

Wishing you all well in these troubled times.  I know how much comfort and joy your pets bring you!

My lovely greyhound Phoebe RIP

With my warmest wishes to you and your beloved pets.
