I moved to Suffolk 3 years ago and you can read about me below. If you or a friend would like a counselling session or assessment on Skype – please contact me (fiennesd) or email me.
I work as a Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapist within the guidelines of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, with integrity, regular personal development and supervision. I was also a senior counsellor at ChildLine in the UK.
I trained originally in couples counselling, completing over 500 hours with Relate. I worked in one of their Crisis Counselling Clinics and have hundreds of hours working with clients behind me. I have worked for many years with young professionals, individuals and couples on a wide variety of problems including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and stress. I am also an experienced consultant in the Arts and Humanities and have worked with many Boards and high level individuals, often in a coaching role.
I worked with my PAT dog (Pet As Therapy) called Monty in hospices and centres for troubled adolescents until he died tragically – since then I have worked on pet loss. I work with dogs on a regular basis, including rescue greyhounds who often need rehabilitation and help with life after racing.
With the charity ChildLine I worked within a controlled environment answering calls from troubled children on many different issues. I work OnLine via Skype and email so that I can interact more readily with people – I like talking to you!
I have work as a charity consultant all over the UK and I have survived both pet loss and different forms of bereavement. I was featured on the BBC’s Mollie Green programme on Animals.
